Support for Pre-N Demonstrates Products Extensibility to Support Emerging Standards and Related Threat

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) July 26, 2005 -– Highwall Technologies, a leading provider of wireless security and management products, today unveiled the Highwall Sentinel, the first sensor in the market capable of monitoring and defending against intrusions caused by Pre-N wireless network devices. The Highwall Sentinel now supports 802.11a, 802.11b/g, Bluetooth and Pre-N.

The Highwall Sentinel is simply this most advanced sensor on the market for wireless security," said Rich Swier, CEO of Highwall Technologies. Our ability to adapt to new and emerging wireless standards is a result of smart design and an open architecture. While off-the-shelf sensors become antiquated with the emergence of new standards like Pre-N, Highwall products stay ahead of the curve. The benefit to customers is clear as they maintain control of their environment and prevent having to implement new technology each time a new standard emerges."

Wireless technologies are rapidly evolving," said Richard Shack, President of Gencotech Security Systems Inc. In order to maintain your security edge, you need a vendor that can scale their solution to meet new and emerging standards. Of all the technologies weve evaluated, the Highwall Sentinel has the most flexibility to allow organizations to handle todays and tomorrows wireless security threats."

The Highwall Sentinel is the key hardware component of the Highwall Enterprise wireless intrusion detection system (IDS). Highwall Enterprise incorporates the company's patent-pending wireless sensors and antennas with a centrally-managed software architecture that allows for an unlimited number of sensors to be monitored across multiple settings. Enterprise is the most scalable WLAN monitoring solution on the market, capable of monitoring multi-story buildings and campus settings with fewer sensors and less implementation costs than competitors solutions.
