TheBullionDesk Limited, providers of rapid news, commentary and data for the worlds metal markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Parcell as Chairman with immediate effect.

(PRWEB) July 27, 2005 -- TheBullionDesk Limited, providers of rapid news, commentary and data for the worlds metal markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Parcell as Chairman with immediate effect.

Parcell, 58, was formerly a main board Director of Reuters Group plc, and Chief Executive of Reuters Information, its largest division, in charge of all news reporting and financial data services. He brings to TheBullionDesk a strong record in driving revenue and profit growth in financial markets.

TheBullionDesk Limited operates two specialist websites: TheBullionDesk.com serves the markets in precious metals, and BaseMetals.com serves producers, traders and industrial consumers of base metals.

"I have a number of non-exec involvements, but this is the first Ive taken in a financial information business since I left Reuters," said Parcell. "Im delighted to be joining TheBullionDesk because I can see it is carving out a quality name for itself in fast and expert comment, analysis and data in metals."

"Its a young company, but the founders and their staff have strong experience in these markets. They know the other players, and they know exactly what information and insights these market participants want."

Ross Norman, founder and Executive Director of TheBullionDesk, said: "I am delighted to welcome John to the Company. His experience will be invaluable in steering the business from laying down our plans for rapid growth through fund raising and onto international rollout of our products.

"Attracting John to TheBullionDesk Limited has been quite a coup and it reflects our shared belief in the companys strong potential."

About TheBullionDesk Limited
TheBullionDesk.com is a privately owned company formed by three metals traders in October 1999 with the initial aim of being the "definitive online resource for live precious metals information and services."

In 2004 the company began developing its sister service to provide full-service coverage for base metals.

TheBullionDesk Limited also provides risk management / trade capture software for the commodities and bullion-banking sectors.
