New SkinIt is the must-have fashion accessory for cell phones, iPods and other electronic gadgets.

VANCOUVER (PRWEB) July 29, 2005 -- Have you ever wished that your cell phone had a bit more pizzazz? Electronic gadgets and gizmos are cool tools, but they would be cooler still if they reflected our personal sense of style, making a statement about who we are and what makes us tick.

Enter SkinIt, a high-quality grade vinyl skin" that can be easily and simply applied to all exposed surfaces of electronic devices such as cell phones, MP3 players, PDAs and portable gaming devices. Using Auto-CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software technology similar to that used by architectural firms, SkinIt can produce custom-ordered individual skins to fit most current model electronic devices.

The unique vinyl material, developed by those sticky label folks at AVERY, can be printed through a 6-colour process allowing for the sharp reproduction of designs and colours. The vinyl is scratch proof and will not fade or smudge. It is easy to apply, easy to remove, does not harm the finish on your device and its application will not void warranties with installation.

In the past, if you wanted to give your cell phone some zing, you were stuck with either hand-painting or buying a cumbersome face-plate, dismantling the phone and putting it all back together again. Either way, you kissed your warranty goodbye.

The SkinIt website (www.skinit.ca) is imagination run wild. There are hundreds of designs to choose from on the site, or, for an extra charge, you can upload one of your own photos, graphics or even a company logo and have the SkinIt guys customize the skin" to suit your specific needs. These designs are not raised or textured. They are printed on smooth, very thin, durable, scuff-resistant vinyl.

The skins are custom cut to fit your device(s), including cut-outs and holes for all the buttons and controls. There is no need to cut or trim anything. It is a simple peel and stick application with no disassembly required.

There are a number of ways to get you hands on a SkinIt skin." Most of the phone stores in Canada or the big box electronic retailers have either pre-made SkinIt skins, or you can purchase a pre-paid PIN Gift Card.

If you go the gift card route, go online to the website www.skinit.ca and roam around until you find a design you like. If there is nothing there that is working for you, upload a high-resolution digital picture of your kid, dog or company logo, pick the device you want skinned," enter your pre-paid PIN card number and a week or so later your personalized skin will arrive in the mail. You may also go directly to the secure website and order a skin using use a credit card.

Now your ring, ring can have some zing and even be custom-made to match your bling, bling!

SkinIt is distributed exclusively in Canada by Hitfar Concepts of Vancouver, BC. For further information or to purchase a SkinIt skin" visit the website at www.skinit.ca.
