(PRWEB) July 28, 2005 -- Is back-to-school a big deal when you do not go to school? Despite the rise in home schooling across the country over the past decade, home schooling families continue to face questions like this on a daily basis. Events like the upcoming annual THSC State Home School Convention and Family Conference on August 11th to 13th strive to provide answers and support families across Texas in making informed choices about their childrens education. Through a combination of speakers, activities and more than one hundred vendor exhibits, the Texas Home School Coalition will highlight the diversity of educational choices within home schooling and beyond.

"Each year thousands of home schoolers from across the state descend on the Houston area for the state home school conference in preparation for back-to-school," says Tim Lambert, president of the THSC. "It's an opportunity to connect with other families, explore new curriculum choices, and get mentally prepared for the year ahead."

From those who are merely considering supplementing their children's education to veterans of the home school experience who are now preparing for the college years, THSC will provide a wealth of information to cross the entire spectrum of homeschooling families. The conference features a Support Group Expo, Childrens Program, and Teen Staff Program in addition to traditional conference offerings of keynote speakers and celebrity guests.

The annual event provides an ideal opportunity for anyone considering or pursuing homeschooling to access the variety of home school choices and resources available in one convenient location.

Call 806-744-4441 to arrange an interview with Tim Lambert for more information on this event and the Texas Home School Coalition (THSC). More details on the convention can be accessed online at http://www.thsc.org/convention/default.asp
