(PRWEB) August 22, 2005 -- The African Store (www.theafricanstore.org) now offers discount pure and unrefined African shea butter & Dudu-Osun African black soap to chase away wrinkles, eczema, sunburn, & much more.

Two years ago, Okafor David, owner of Okaforworld, conceived the idea of The African Store. The African Store is an organization that will represent all the geniune African businesses, their products and services. However, that idea has come true just this year after Okafor had observed the nature of African Businesses and the problems that face them here in the U.S. Some of these problems are cheap imitation of African products like Shea Butter and Black Soap. That is why Okafor decided to source and retail authentic African products like African Shea Butter and Dudu-Osun African Black Soap.

The African Store (TAS) is now introducing discount pure and unrefined Shea Butter products to their online customers worldwide. Shea Butter is definitely important to every skin - sensitive and non-sensitive skin alike because it has natural active compounds that you won't find in other skin creams…be it night creams, eczema creams, wrinkle creams, or even anti-aging creams. When applied, dry hands and skin are new again within seconds.

Shea butter has been used for centuries in Africa and later in Europe to fight a multitude of skin conditions, and internal illnesses. Shea Butter has been clinically proven to decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and its reputation is fast becoming one of an anti-aging compound. Infact, Cocoa Butter was widely used by most major U.S. cosmetics companies before Shea Butter was introduced. Since then, Shea Butter use is now 3 times more than that of Cocoa Butter in most products.

"Of course Pure Shea Butter has a unique smell and texture during application but it quickly dissolves into your skin and the smell becomes unnoticeable after that. That is why so many retailers and cosmetic companies go out of the way to come up with some Shea Butter products that will sort of smell good by adding cheap and artificial perfumes or oils. This does not only reduce the natural healing effects of Shea Butter but it may or can cause some serious skin reactions. The use of certain chemicals in making skin care products is known to cause skin cancer today.

"When I started Okaforworld three years ago, I thought it would be easy just to retail authentic African products due to the passion I had for them being an African from Nigeria and many of my friends and fellow students (yes, I am a college student) thought it was a joke. They were like come on - African products. You cannot even succeed. They said that because those that sell authentic African products barely make both ends meet due to so many factors, which may include low capital and lack of marketing skills. I had to source my products from back home and use my website optimization and promotion skills to market like the big companies but it really was not easy financially at first to compete with them. Thank God, I started with genuine African beauty products, which had high demand and low supply then. Within one year, I had customers from foreign countries like Canada, Kuwait, and England buying Dudu-Osun African Black Soap from my website. In fact, I was one of the people that made Dudu-Osun the most popular African Black soap in the market today because after I used it on my skin three and half years ago, I decided to start selling it. I had helped my African-American friend order some online and she made me try some by her sweet talk. Back home, I never used anything local because of the "foreign product" mentality most affluent and sometimes non-affluent Africans have. However, since I experienced the soothing and healing effects of Dudu-Osun African Black Soap and later Shea Butter, I never used any other skin care products. Ladies see my face after I have washed it off and taken shower and applied the Shea Butter and they will be like - how come you have a smooth and young face? In fact, how old are you? So many vendors and businesses are tempted to formulate different sub-standard, high-demand African products like Shea Butter and Black Soap to make quick buck. They also want to have different varieties in their product line but I have decided to offer only genuine African products not just, because they are good for you and me but because I will be robbing Africa and its economy to sell imitations from countries like China. We are still making profit despite our discount price offers because Shea Butter is in high-demand and we can afford to beat other retailers' prices due to our connection to the sources of these products," says Okafor David.

"Along with our shea butter, we also retail the world famous Dudu-Osun African Black Soap. Dudu-Osun African Black Soap has been the best selling African Black Soap since its introduction some years ago. Thanks to the all-natural tropical ingredients like Shea Butter, Aloe Vera, Honey, Lime and Lemon juice that are used in making this luxurious and natural African Black Soap. Black Soap is for any skin type and all human races. It gets its name from the colour of the soap (brownish-black) which is due to the ingredients used in making it. Many of my Caucasian friends refuse to buy and try them on their skin but whenever I give it to them as a gift and the eventually try it, they never stop talking about it," says Okafor David.

The African Store is promoting its African Shea Butter to raise more money for its operations and future expansion and promise to keep their low prices the same for the next year.
