It's all about showing up and recently eight For You/NAFE network members showed up at the Biltmore Hotel as Nominees for the LA Business Journals Women Make A Difference Awards.

Well it really is very easy, first you need to be a person that makes a difference to others, so that there is a reason for someone to want to nominate you and secondly you need to "Show Up" when you are nominated. Even if you don't end up the winner, being nominated is also an honor, as that means someone felt that you deserved to be nominated.
"Most people do not do things to win awards and that's great but what's wrong with getting your name in print," says Robbie Motter, NAFE Western & Mid Atlantic Regional Coordinator and the Founder of the For You Network a 501 c3 nonprofit network. For You is also a NAFE Affiliate network and has 18 local connection networks in the Southern CA with over 400 women members. The Mission of For You Network the ultimate network with heart for women is to help women achieve personal and professional success. The For You Membership is made up of 42% Small & Home Based Businesses, 35% Corporate Business, and 15% Network Marketing Companies, and 8% other.
Well recently eight dynamic For You Network members coming from various locations in Southern California who were nominated for the Women who Make a Difference Awards held at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. This event was sponsored by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
There were more than 199 nominees this year representing the best and the brightest women in Los Angeles County. Each nominee was invited to attend a VIP Reception, received a beautiful yellow rose and had their pictures taken as they will be placed in a special edition LA Business Journal on August 29, which will highlight all the nominees which were all dynamic and deserving.
This year's judges may have had a hard time picking the winners, as all were so deserving and truly had outstanding bio's and accomplishments.
The ballroom at the Biltmore Hotel was packed and the eight nominees said, "it was a thrill of their life to be a nominee among so many other wonderful women and something they would cherish forever." Each of these women gives so much to the community never doing it to win awards but it was such a fantastic feeling to them to be considered and to be nominated.

So in the future if someone wants to nominate you for a special deserving event, don't say no, first off your name will be out there for everyone to see and you would not have been nominated had you not been deserving so pat yourself on the back that you are a person that knows that the greatest reward in life is giving of ones self to help others is the greatest gift of life.
