Minnesota golf company wins right to advertise on his corpse, when he's dead of course.
(PRWEB) August 14, 2005 -- BogeyPro.com, a Minnesota golf company dedicated to the average-to-bad golfer offered a whopping $15.50 to outbid all other suitors in the eBay auction. They now have the right to place an ad on the now 24-year old's body when he expires.
Andrew N. Beutin, of Milwaukee, WI, posted the offbeat auction last week and was flooded with hits, had several articles written on it and as of auction close on Friday, August 12, 2005, one company, BogeyPro.com, was left standing.
"We usually have tight deadlines for getting our ads to print," said BogeyPro.com president Arik Nordby, "but this one is much more manageable -- probably 60-70 years." "We'll use the time to test market several different ads to focus groups and find the most impactful one."
BogeyPro.com offers several products that embrace the bad golfer such as "How To Break Your Club" T-shirts and "Zero Distance" golf balls. In business since 2001, it's run by two guys from Minnesota who suck at golf but can't get enough of the game.
