Brunel Oilfield Services Grows Internationally

Brunel Oilfield Services (UK) Ltd. has added to its range of Ezee-Glider Engineered Composite Centralizer range with the release of the Ezee-Thermal Production Riser Thermal Insulating Centralizer. Ezee-Thermal Centralizers have been engineered to deliver a thermal stability of -40°C to 240°C for Production Riser centralization and thermal insulation applications with the added benefit of having the same mechanical properties as the Ezee-Glider Centralizer. Developed from the Ezee-Glider Centralizer product line, over 1000 13 11/32" x 11 7/8" Ezee-Thermal Insulating Centralizers have been delivered and are being installed for a major operator in the Gulf of Mexico. At the same time Brunel Oilfield Services announces the "go live" of their new website designed to support our current and future customers worldwide.

Brunel Oilfield Services (UK) Ltd. – Focused on Innovative Engineering Solutions, have pioneered the use of advanced materials technology in the well construction industry. With the development and subsequent success of the Ezee-Glider & Ezee-Thermal centraliser product range, the next generation of centralisation products for the Oil Industry are now becoming a standard for even the toughest and most challenging centralisation and torque and drag reduction requirements worldwide.

Brunel Oilfield Services offers a range of benefits to customers as realised in over 130 wells worldwide with the introduction of the Ezee-Glider centralisers. Brunel Oilfield Services patented anti-swage ring technology, combined with advanced engineering materials e.g. Thermoplastic Polymers gives clients a viable and economic option previously not available.

Thermoplastic polymers have been used as premium bearing replacement materials in other industries for many years. This technology has been captured in our BOS21 type material and the self lubricating Premium BOS22 material.

Solid metal centralisers and roller type solid steel centralisers have to date been used by many operators when requirements for centralising units are needed for extended reach and/or horizontal well liners, casing and sand screen installations. Both types have their downsides such as weight, cost, complicated design, and poor drillability. In particular the roller type centralisers are not very suited for running into open hole due to their design (will tend to "plow"), and the flow-by area is poor. Operators have recognised the benefits and value delivered by the Ezee-Glider and have realised the following operational benefits when compared to similar metal type centralisers.

Key Benefits
*   Lower friction factors – typical field values of +/- 0.10 are recorded
*   Minimises drag & reduces torque
*   High strength & impact resistance
*   Exceptional abrasion resistance
*   Blade design enhances hole cleaning by maximising flow-by area
*   HPHT & Chrome alloy compatible
*   Light weight - 5 to 10 times lighter than metal centralisers
*   improved HSE benefits
*   reduced transport costs
*   capable of being shipped by air
*   Thermally stable - -40°c to 240°c
*   Chemically stable e.g. versus most acids and bases
*   Electrically and thermally isolating
*   Field Proven e.g. over 130 wells worldwide
*   Cost competitive

Brunel Oilfield Services has completed redesigned and have now relaunched their new website www.bruneloifield.com. The focus of the new website is to better support our customers worldwide and give our Business Partners around the world easy access to the information when they need it and not be hindered by differences in the time zone they are in. We look forward to seeing many of our customers at Offshore Europe 2005 - Stand 502 - being held in Aberdeen on the 6th to the 9th.
