Illegal file sharing proliferates videos celebrities would prefer were kept under wraps.

(PRWEB) September 1, 2005 -- Several of today's most popular celebrities are unwillingly starring in an unauthorized x-rated music video being circulated and downloaded by thousands computer savvy celebrity watchers. File sharing programs such as Bittorent and Kazaa that allow people to download full length movies and TV shows, along with popular home computer video editing software, has given rise to the latest Internet fad - 'video mash ups'.

Similar to audio mash-ups, where anonymous music producers take music from different artists and mix them together (the most popular mixed Jay-Z's the Black Album with the Beatles White Album) making and downloading home-made music video mash ups is growing in popularity. Currently one of the most downloaded is called 'Bitch", created by an unknown fan who managed to secure a leaked copy of a song by notorious gay Celtic-punk musician Ashley MacIsaac before it was commercially released, and cut their own video incorporating todays biggest celebrities by downloading video footage that is available on the Internet.

Video mash-ups are not authorized by the artists or their record companies, and so are not commercially released – such is the case for the Bitch" video mash up with its use of celebrity footage. It features clips of the famous sex videos of Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson, as well as a topless Courtney Love, Britney Spears and Madonna in an extended French kiss, Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie in a video love triangle, and dozens of other celebrities who are without a doubt not pleased with the videos popularity. Those curious can find it online by using a search engine and downloading the video file to a computer using a popular file sharing program such as Bittorrent or Kazaa, and using any of the featured celebrities' names along with the word ‘Bitch.
