After Katrina - Business Guide Established for New Orleans Businesses Displaced by Storm

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

The New Orleans Business Guide has been established at allneworleans.com. This guide will enable New Orleans and metropolitan New Orleans businesses to notify customers, vendors and others of their current status.

(PRWEB) September 6, 2005 -- A New Orleans Business Guide has been established at All New Orleans.com (http://allneworleans.com). The website will be used as a world wide way for business owners and professionals, displaced by Hurricane Katrina, to notify customers, employees, clients, vendors and other interested parties of their current whereabouts. Businesses owners and professionals can list their New Orleans address and contact information in addition to any information about their current location and operating status.    More than 90% of all businesses in New Orleans and the metropolitan area are small business entities and, in New Orleans proper, 100% of that number has been displaced by the storm.

The All New Orleans.com website is a free service and promises updates to pages as necessary, for as long as needed.     The website is owned and operated by Hughes Display Group, Inc., a Florida corporation.    Kim Hughes, President of Hughes Display Group, was an 18 year resident of New Orleans with family and friends in the area who were also deeply affected by Hurricane Katrina. My son lost his home, his possessions, his job, and his childhood memories – the very foundation of his life – with Hurricane Katrina. The damage to the city is catastrophic. The New Orleans I knew as home has been forever changed. Im heartbroken but also determined to do what I can to help restore that very special and very unique city to some semblance of what it once was. I was going back in November and now…who knows. I do know this – the city will never survive without a strong, economic backbone and that backbone is small business. Its going to be a long haul and we have to start to bring it back together now."

Business owners and professionals in and around New Orleans, who have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina, are invited and encouraged to use this service. Those who do not have access to a computer can submit their information by phone at (850) 243-3324, by fax at 866-829-0721 or via mail at P.O. Box 1116, Fort Walton Beach, FL, 32549-1116.
