Since 1999, BCHS has established themselves as one of the best big mountain heliskiing locations in the world. With 1.5 million acres of unparalleled terrain, this is one of the largest heliskiing tenures in the world.

(PRWEB) September 17, 2005 -- The quiet B.C. village of Bella Coola is becoming one of the most sought-after heliskiing destinations on the planet," said Mitchell Scott. Special to the Globe and Mail, Saturday, November 15, 2003 - Page T1

The media coverage for Bella Coola Heli Sports has been extensive with many pro athletes and film crews descending on the Bella Coola big mountains to film their ski movies.

Bella Coola is one of the best locations in the world for filming and photographing big mountain riding!" Matchstick Films, 2003.

BCHS only uses the jet powered A Star B2 helicopters for our guests heliskiing and snowboarding pleasure. These are the best and most flexible machines for getting to the powder. In addition, with a maximum of 5 skiers per load and three loads per helicopter, there is no waiting time. This ensures that our guests always heliski the best runs and that they ski them more often. The strength of the operation is in our high level of guest care, easy access for all travelers and the, now famous, terrain…it is unrivaled. BCHS was awarded the highest possible safety rating by the BCHSSOA.

It is actually faster and easier to get to Bella Coola from Vancouver airport than to drive to Whistler Blackcomb ski resort. The flight is 1 hour and fifteen minutes with the BCHS staff there to meet you and prepare you to heliski that day.

All BCHS tours were originally operated out of the historic Tweedsmuir Lodge with a maximum of only15 guests per week. The lodge and staff offer a warm family atmosphere with international cuisine and a world-renowned wine selection.

After receiving many requests for a more affordable heliskiing experience, BCHS decided to go for it. It is more about the heliskiing and riding experience, although the accommodations are great and the location allows for more flexibility with meals, transport and activities within the Bella Coola Valley. These Big Mountain Heliskiing tours can be booked individually or as a group.

The goal at BCHS is to provide more heliskiing and riding for our guests dollar. This is possible because under normal circumstances all of our guests can heliski their arrival and departure days.

BMH tours start at a 3-day package including 13,000 vertical metres (42,900 vertical feet) of heliskiing/riding for $3,580.00 CDN.
