Harvard Design Schools Office of Executive Education and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Team Up To Launch New Program for Emerging Real Estate Leaders

A new program from Harvard Design School's Office of Executive Education is designed to help BOMA members become successful real estate industry leaders.

Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) September 8, 2005 -- The Office of Executive Education at Harvard Design School and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International will present a new five-day executive education program entitled, Emerging Leaders in Real Estate, on October 2-7, 2005 in Cambridge, MA.

Designed specifically for BOMA members who are—or want to be—on the executive track, this intensive, interactive program will teach participants how to develop the vision, influence, and discipline of successful leaders.

Led by Harvard University faculty and real estate industry leaders including, Joseph Badaracco, Jr., Richard Peiser, John Macomber, Kurt Padavano, and Ray Torto, among others, this new program will enable participants to cultivate the strategic planning, financial management, and leadership skills and insight they need to take their careers and their firms to the next level.

We have extensive experience in creating customized programs for organizations and firms and so are pleased to partner with BOMA to develop a program that addresses the specific learning needs of their membership," says Corlette McCoy, Director of the Office of Executive Education at Harvard Design School.

Topics to be covered in the Emerging Leaders in Real Estate program include:

• Day one: Strategic planning; Corporate identity; Leadership techniques

• Day two: Assessing company performance; Asset allocation strategies; Measuring/Monitoring portfolio and market performance; Finance at the project level

• Day three: Measures of property performance; Due diligence for acquisitions; Investment vehicles

• Day four: Business ethics; Conflict resolution and negotiation; Effective communication strategies

• Day five: Managing human resources; Program wrap-up
