Handwriting Recognition for All Palm OS Applications

Inkmark Software has released MobileWrite v. 3.5, a popular handwriting recognition program that makes it easy to enter text and data into your favorite Palm OS applications.

(PRWEB) September 10, 2005 -- Inkmark Software has released MobileWrite v. 3.5, a popular handwriting recognition program that makes it easy to enter text and data into your favorite Palm OS applications. Unlike handwriting recognition programs that force you to learn special characters, or to write your text in all upper case or all lower case letters, MobileWrite recognizes your own handwriting immediately. MobileWrite also gives you an option to use Graffiti 1 or Graffiti 2 letters, instead of regular letters. Version 3.5 has improved character recognition. Clicking on this link will download an evaluation copy of MobileWrite: http://www.inkmarksoftware.com/download/mobilewrite.zip

MobileWrite converts your stylus strokes into letters, numbers, and punctuation. You can write directly onto the screen of the application which you're using, with no need for a keyboard. MobileWrite works with your calendar, address book, memo sheet, and all Palm OS applications.

With its standard set of characters, and the ability to write complete words across the entire width of the screen, you can enter data much more easily than you can with the software that comes bundled with many Palm OS devices. MobileWrite's user-friendly interface lets you concentrate on your work, instead of worrying about how to do your data entry. For example, there are four ways that you can write an upper-case "A". The option to select Graffiti 1 or Graffiti 2 letters is popular with people who have upgraded to the latest Palm handheld and found this software is no longer available for their device.

With MobileWrite, it's easy to correct your work. Simply tap on the character that you'd like to change, and the program will display alternate characters that you can select. Choose the correct character, and the program fixes your text.

The program works with Palm OS 3.5 to 5.x. Supported hardware includes Palm, Sony Clie, all Treo devices, including Treo 650, 600, 300, 270, and 180, Zire, LifeDrive, Tungsten, Kyocera, Samsung, and other PDAs and Smartphones which are powered by the Palm Operating System. Requiring only 270kb of memory, MobileWrite runs on older devices with limited memory, as well as the latest hardware.

MobileWrite supports characters that are unique to French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, and most European languages. You can add accents and tildes to characters. You have access to tabs, spaces, backspaces, carriage returns, and other typewriter characters. You can even cut, copy, and paste text.

Whether you're a business traveler who needs a reliable handwriting recognition program that works with all of your Palm OS applications, an occasional PDA or Smartphone user who doesn't want to train your handwriting recognition program to recognize their writing, or a student who needs to takes notes in the classroom or library, MobileWrite has the tools that you need.

MobileWrite v. 3.5 costs $24.95(US) and may be purchased securely online at http://www.inkmarksoftware.com/. Volume discounts are available. You can also download a free, fully-functional trial version from the company's web site.
