PocketLOGGER ZT datalogging software, designed to work in conjunction with the Zeitronix Zt-2 Wideband A/F Meter, allows engine tuners to view and datalog vital engine information on their Palm OS PDA.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) September 13, 2005 -- Digital Tuning, Inc., an industry leader in Palm OS based automotive datalogging systems, is proud to announce the release of PocketLOGGER ZT Datalogging software. Digital Tuning and Zeitronix have teamed up to provide an economical way for professional engine tuners and car enthusiasts alike to monitor and datalog engine vitals, including Air/Fuel ratio.

"Aftermarket wideband Air/Fuel sensors and their required electronics are becoming more and more affordable to car enthusiasts," says Mike Montalvo, CEO of Digital Tuning. "For anyone serious about tuning the fuel delivery in their street or race car, having a Wideband Air/Fuel Meter is a must. PocketLOGGER ZT with the Zeitronix Zt-2 provides an easy way to view and datalog the vital information from the Wideband so that it can be analyzed later, without the need to lug a laptop around."

Many racetracks will not allow laptops in the car while racing but will allow PDAs. With PocketLOGGER ZT, the PDA can be safely stored in a glove compartment for safety, while datalogging engine vitals. PDAs can also be easily mounted to the dash to provide a real time digital display.

Based off the proven PocketLOGGER datalogging platform, PocketLOGGER ZT gives users the ability to view and datalog information from the Zeitronix Zt-2, including Lambda, throttle position, RPM, exhaust gas temperature, manifold pressure, as well as any 0-5volt external sensor. Once datalogged, the data can be retrieved and viewed on the PDA at any time. The user can set threshold alarms to warn of unsafe conditions and log triggers that will start the datalog when certain conditions are met.

"If you're modifying your engine in any way, datalogging this type of data is vital to keeping tabs on your engine's health. Without it, there is a good possibility of blowing your engine." says Montalvo.
