JetSpeed Records Act Helps The Victims
Music of this nature grows inside itself, and it will grow on you with each spin

(PRWEB) September 14, 2005 -- The hottest band in Maryland, Nixon Nation, has just been added to The Big Easy Benefit Concert. This benefit is being held to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The fun begins on Friday September 23rd at The House of Rock in White Marsh, MD. The concert is being sponsored by radio station 98 ROCK of Baltimore and Starleigh Entertainment. Tickets are just $10 for over a dozen bands on the bill.

Nixon Nation are
Kevin M. Thomas - Vocals and Bass
Josh Miller - Guitars and Vocals
Billy Esposito - Drums and Vocals

The music from their solo project rocked its way into MTV Networks/Spike TV reality series entitled, "Tripped Out" and "10 Things Every Guy Should Experience." Their Jetspeed Records debut CD entitled, "13 Songs," was recorded by an award-winning music production staff led by Gold and Platinum Producer David Morse (Guns and Roses, Incubus, & Motley Crue).

What they do is certainly unique. Most of the material is quite simple yet intensely dynamic. The key is their instinctive ability to connect many genres of music, thereby shaping and molding it into something all of its own making. With influences ranging from Iron Maiden, Nirvana, The Beatles, SRV, Radiohead, Steely Dan, and The Deftones, the mixture produces an emotional, energetic, contagious, modern radio sound.

"Music of this nature grows inside itself, and it will grow on you with each spin," says vocalist Thomas. "Josh's dynamic guitar playing makes it easy to convey energy in their performances. He has brought the most incredible open-mindedness, intensity and creativity that I've never seen in another musician. The audience feedback is great and people always react strongly to their material."
