With all the recent furor about the California Supreme Court decision that reciting the pledge of allegiance in public schools is unconstitutional, because of "under God," one California woman is working to put God back into the lives of women business owners through the creation of the Wealthy Woman Network.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 15, 2005 -- With all the recent furor about the California Supreme Court decision that reciting the pledge of allegiance in public schools is unconstitutional, because of "under God," one California woman is working to put God back into the lives of women business owners through the creation of the Wealthy Woman Network.

LaTania Smith, founder of the Wealthy Woman Network decided she was not going to sit around and watch the awareness of God be erased from our lives, so she created an unusual networking group for businesswomen where God takes center stage. Before the speakers share their expertise on growing and developing their business, the networking brunch feels more like a revival tent. Smith, an African-American entrepreneur, leads the group in prayer and praise in song that rocks the house.

"There is an unmet need for women to integrate all aspects of their life together. We are so segmented; mom from 6am to 8 am, drop the kids become wage earner from 9 to 5, community volunteer from 5 to 6, and then wife and mom again until we drop," states Smith. "We need God every second of the day and I wanted to find a way that He has a profound presence in our business and life, not just Sunday mornings."

The Wealthy Woman Network, www.wealthywoman.org, which holds monthly brunch meetings in Lawndale, California, is a Christian businesswomen's association. It is dedicated to providing quality professional, personal and spiritual education, information, and resources to women of purpose as they make a positive impact in their communities and around the world.

"God doesn't only belong in the Pledge of Allegiance, He belongs in every aspect of our lives. Just take a look at the state of the world, we need to create the presence of God and love for humanity everywhere we can," stresses Smith.

The next Wealthy Woman Network Brunch is September 24, 2005 from 10 am to 1 pm and all women are invited to join, "Just be prepared to sing and clap your hands in praise," reminds Smith. Tickets are $20 and vendor space is available for $50. Reserve your space online at www.wealthywoman.org or call 310.978.8683 for reservations. Women are also encouraged to bring a $25 gift card from national major department stores for women displaced by Hurricane Katrina - Katrina's Daughters. Women will have the opportunity at the brunch to write a note of encouragement to be included with the gift.
