(PRWEB) September 18, 2005 -- Lorman Education Services presents "Title Examination" seminar on November 1, 2005. Finally – something more on title examination than 45 minutes squeezed into one of those smorgasbord seminars.

This seminar covers the gamut, from nuts-and-bolts to specialty concerns. A faculty with title, abstract, insurance and legal expertise will walk you through these issues.

Jack S. Levey practices real estate and business law with the Columbus, Ohio office of Plunkett & Cooney, P.C. and has represented clients in the purchase, sale and financing of real property since 1979. He is also active in the areas of construction and permanent financing, and construction contracts, and has negotiated several hundred leases on behalf of tenants and owners, including specialty apparel stores, computer stores, optometrists and jewelry stores, as well as office and warehouse tenants. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota and his B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His articles have appeared in Probate & Property, The Practical Real Estate Lawyer and the LLC Planning Alert. He has presented continuing education courses to the American Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the Ohio Land Title Association, among others. Mr. Levey is past vice chairman at large of the Title Insurance Committee of the ABA Section on Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and served as chairman of the subcommittee on business entities. He is a member of the Commercial Leasing Group of the ABA Real Property Section, a former associate member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and a member of the Real Property Committees of the Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations.

Thomas R. McGrath is a partner in the Columbus, Ohio, law firm of McGrath& Breitfeller, LLP, where he practices in the areas of complex litigation, real estate law, business law and title insurance claims litigation. He is a frequent lecturer for various professional groups on real estate title insurance law, and other insurance and real estate issues. Mr. McGrath co-authored 2005 Title Insurance Case Update," published in the ABA Tort & Insurance Law Journal, Winter 2005. He received his B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from Capital University School of Law. He is a member of the Columbus, Ohio State (member, Real Property Committee) and American (past chair, Title Insurance Litigation Committee of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section) Bar Associations.

William J. Zabkar is state counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company in Ohio. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned his B.S. degree in history and political science. He earned his J.D. degree from Ohio Northern University College of Law. He began his career in the title insurance industry with Chicago Title Insurance Company, rising to the position of assistance regional counsel for claims and underwriting. He joined Ohio Bar Title Insurance Counsel and remained there until joining Stewart Title Guaranty Company in November of 1996. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association, where he serves on the Real Property Section of both associations. He is also a member of the Ohio Land and Title Association, where he served as president and trustee. He is active in public speaking, and has been a frequent speaker for both the Ohio Land Title Association and the Ohio CLE Institute.

This one-day seminar is designed for attorneys, paralegals and other legal staff, lending and loan officers, title officers, presidents, vice presidents, and real estate and insurance professionals.
