Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) September 20, 2005 -- Debra Kagan's carefree original paintings and women's accessories will be the center of attention during a featured opening at the Great Art and Frame Gallery of Tampa on Friday, Sept. 23rd, 7pm at 9906 West Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, Florida.

Kagan, whose artwork and creations (www.debrakagan.com) have appeared in several national magazines and on television, is a nonstop artist, painter and creator.

"My focus is on creating art that inspires others to also create and pursue art" said Kagan, a native New Yorker who relocated to Clearwater 14 years ago. "I like art that is creative, simple and colorful."

About 30 of her brightly-colored paintings and "Diva" accessories - like the Monochromatic Glamour Hammer, which was shown on TV's "Gilmore Girls," - will brighten the gallery's showroom.

Kagan uses every color of the spectrum in her unique paintings. Her positive attitude about life and the benefits of creating shine through her work.

Often commissioned to create cheerful paintings to transform usual-looking offices into lively and energetic workplaces, Kagan's paintings are truly candy for the eyes. "I enjoy creating artwork for entire office buildings so people look forward to arriving and are happy to be there," says Kagan.

"I mostly concentrate on colors," she says. "It's what people tell me they like about my paintings -they are decorative and alive."

Kagan has never been afraid to break the rules and that philosophy has allowed her to live off her art and artistic creations for more than 30 years. With the comforting idea that every day is a day to create, the possibilities are endless.

For more information on her original artwork, commissions or giclees (high quality prints), please contact Debra through www.debrakagan.com.
