According to the OffshoreWire.com article, "Jesse Ventura is making a testimonial of a scam operation."

Willemstad, Curacao (PRWEB) September 27, 2005 -- TheOffshoreWire.com recently published an article concerning the association of celebrities to rogue operations. Certain sports books entice customers with perks and bonuses but are known for slow paying and stiffing winners.

"Changing a tarnished image is not an easy task in the offshore gaming industry," said Roberto Castiglioni of TheOffshoreWire.com, a player-driven watchdog website.

"Companies known as sports books that would cheat, slow pay, and openly stiff winners tend to reach out to celebrities in the attempt to rebuild their image," continued Castiglioni. "However, the professional face lift usually turns out to be an insufficient patch that cant disguise rogue habits."

The latest recruited celebrity is Jesse Ventura, former wrestler and former Governor of Minnesota, hired as testimonial by BetUS, a sports book operating out of Canada and Costa Rica.

"Not even the hiring of a celebrity like Jesse Ventura, former Governor of Minnesota, can keep the lid on a rogue sports book wrong doings," Castiglioni added.

"To the contrary it is safe to say that, in this scenario, Ventura is making a testimonial of a scam operation with a track record of wrongdoings such as slow paying and stiffing their customers like BetUS. We believe Ventura, like any other celebrity, should separate his image from rogue operations before being dragged into legal proceedings that angry customers may undertake against stiff sports books," Castiglioni concluded.
