Mac Online Poker For Party Poker

The discussion among Mac online poker players has reached the point of wondering when Party Poker will become Macintosh poker compatible.

(PRWEB) January 3, 2006 -- Mac online poker players who currently play at Pacific Poker’s Macintosh online poker room (www.mac-pacificpoker.com) question when Party Poker will become Mac compatible. Party Poker replies with grim futures for Mac poker at Party Poker.

While Apple poker players say they are happy with Pacific Poker’s Mac poker room they wanted to know when and how Party Poker will become Mac compatible. Upon contacting the support team about this issue Party Poker responded that there are no eminent plans to become Mac compatible.

Many reasons that contribute to Party Poker not becoming compatible is due to extremely expensive software upgrades and Mac users do not take up a large part of the market. Most of Party Poker’s users are currently Windows based users.

Party Poker did say that they were looking into the Mac online poker market for possible upgrades in the software. If the expected revenues out weigh the future revenues for building the software then they will not continue to build an online poker software for Mac users.

Pacific Poker is a leader in the Mac online poker market and it is in their best interest that Party Poker stays far away from this market. Party Poker captures such a large customer base that if they were to become Mac online poker compatible many investors believe it would be very detrimental to their revenues.

To become Mac online poker compatible such as Pacific Poker (www.mac-pacificpoker.com) a software would need to run on Java. This Java poker software runs in the browser giving Macintosh users the capability to play online poker.

For now Macintosh poker players say they are happy with Pacific Poker’s software but they do hope for more options when it comes to playing poker on a Mac.
