(PRWEB) January 5, 2006 -- Express Agent is a new product that has just been released from Vale Software that allows you to easily and quickly schedule jobs and backups for SQL Express.

SQL Express is a free database by Microsoft but it is not supplied with a SQL Agent so it cannot easily schedule backups and other jobs without writing lines of code. Express Agent not only makes scheduling jobs easier within the stylish graphical interface, it also includes wizards to get you quickly started.

The real strength of Vale Software's program is their really easy to navigate interface, they have been built with the user in mind. Express Agent has full event logging, email notification and the ability to import and export job settings.

Express Agent comes in two parts, a client program (Job Builder) to design the jobs and a server program to run the jobs at the set time. The job builder is designed to work on Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP and Windows Servers 2000 & 2003. The server program runs as an NT service on Windows NT, 2000, XP and Windows Servers 2000 & 2003.

Express Agent sells for $79.00(US). Vale Software has a limited time offer enabling you to buy it before the 31st March 2006 for only $49(US). Trial versions and screen shots of these programs are available to download from http://www.valesoftware.com

SQL Express - Microsoft’s Desktop Database Engine is the free, redistributable version of SQL Server 2005 that's ideal for client applications that require an embedded database on the computer, new developers learning how to build data-driven applications, and Web sites serving up to 25 concurrent users.
