Macintosh Poker Room Launches World Series of Poker Satellites

Pacific Poker’s Macintosh poker site has opened up their WSOP satellites to Mac poker players.

(PRWEB) January 6, 2006 -- Online Macintosh poker room, Pacific Poker, has opened their World Series of Poker satellite tournaments to Mac poker players using the no download software at www.mac-Pacificpoker.com.

Pacific Poker says they are one of the only Macintosh Texas Holdem online poker rooms to offer World Series of Poker satellite tournaments to their users. Pacific Poker believes the online poker market might be shifting towards users wanting to play larger and more exciting tournaments such as the WSOP.

The past three World Series of Poker Champions including Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, and Joseph Hachem have all won their tickets to the World Series by playing online satellite tournaments. Pacific Poker has big hopes that one of their Macintosh poker players will be the next champion.

In addition to the WSOP satellite tournaments Pacific Poker has also decided to offer their $50k guaranteed tournaments to Macintosh poker players. These tournaments consist of a $65+5 buy-in or Mac users can play in qualifiers starting from $0-$38.

Pacific Poker is known for its online casino. They are still working to buff up their poker room by continually exploring new markets and promotional methods. Other Macintosh based online poker rooms like Pokerroom (www.P0KERRO0M.com) continue to increase competition for market share.

One Macintosh poker player had this to say about Pacific Poker. “I’m really glad Pacific Poker decided to open up their big time tournaments to Mac users. I was getting bored playing the regular cash tables. It’s pretty neat knowing I could possibly be playing with the pros next year in the World Series of Poker.”

Pacific Poker’s Macintosh Texas Holdem room uses a software program called Java which runs in the browser. This Mac poker room has similar interfaces as the Windows based poker room but the accessories are minimized to keep game speed up. (www.Mac-Pacificpoker.com)
