Sony VAIO TX2-Series
For people who only buy the best, whether for business or pleasure, there's the Sony VAIO TX2-Series, the lightest subnotebook with two spindles and integrated optical drive on the market today. Developed from carbon fibre and composite materials normally associated with F1 Racing and aerospace, and styled to appeal to the most refined taste, the Sony VAIO TX2 is rather more than just a notebook. It is available in three colour variations - black, white, and a limited edition slate blue model*.
Despite weighing only 1.24kg, Sony VAIO TX2-Series ultra-portables are extremely robust and durable thanks to the advanced materials technology used in their construction. Each also incorporates a fully integrated super-slim Double Layer DVD±RW.
Its ground-breaking 11.1-inch widescreen display is the first on the market to incorporate LED technology, which saves battery power compared to standard displays, and is just 4.5mm thick, less than the screen on many mobile phones. Sony's latest generation X-black LCD™ technology ensures superior brightness, more vibrant colours and true black, bringing everything vividly to life.
To round things off, an Ultra-Low Voltage (ULV) Intel Pentium M processor with Centrino technology, sophisticated power management and fan-free cooling gift the Sony VAIO TX2 with up to 7.5 hours battery life from a standard battery.
Sony VAIO FS400-Series
For consumers who want a slimline, lightweight portable that offers an impressive array of features, there's the Sony VAIO FS400-Series, with its stylish magnesium chassis. Weighing only 2.9kg, the Sony VAIO FS400 still manages to fit in a Double Layer DVD±RW drive, and a 15.4-inch screen that delivers high resolution widescreen perfect for movies. Dual lamp illumination and the latest generation X-black LCD™ technology mean bright, vibrant colour and real black, so everything from photos to games looks its best.
Processor options range from Celeron® to Pentium M 740, and graphics from Intel's integrated 915GM to an NVIDIA® GeForce™ 6400 with 128MB turbo cache technology. With so much on offer, everyone should be able to find the model that suits them perfectly.
Sony VAIO A600-Series
With the Sony VAIO A600-Series, home users can have it all. At the top of the range, there's the Sony VAIO VGN-A617S, with its multimedia knockout combination of Intel® Centrino® Pentium M 760 and ATI Mobility™ Radion® X700 graphics. A widescreen 17-inch display with latest generation X-black LCD™ enhancement and dual lamp illumination makes the visuals really sparkle too, but there's more.
The Sony VAIO VGN-A617S is supplied as standard with an Entertainment Docking Station, which adds a crucial extra dimension. When docked, users get the best from music and film soundtracks thanks to the integrated Sony S-MASTER digital amplifier and premium Sony desktop speakers. A TV tuner and MPEG encoder allow watching and even recording TV, turning the Sony VAIO VGN-A617S into an entertainment all-rounder.
All models come with a Super Multi Double Layer DVD±RW optical drive, allowing maximum versatility in what you can play, record and share. Double Layer technology means you get the extra advantage of up to four hours DVD-quality recording in a single session.
