Teen Actor Thomas Kasp Stars On Hit Youth TV Series, REAL LIFE 101, Weekend Of January 14

Young thesp Thomas Kasp stars on REAL LIFE 101, the hit syndicated young person's TV series, discussing his life in Hollywood as he reaches for the stars.

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) January 12, 2006 -- One of Hollywood’s newest teenage actors, Thomas Kasp, makes a guest appearance the weekend of January 14 on the weekly hit syndicated television series for young people, Real Life 101.

Thomas Kasp appears on the REAL LIFE 101 series episode that was filmed on location in New Orleans at various historic locations in the city’s French Quarter. “I met such wonderful people in New Orleans…the people there are so kind and make you feel very welcome. My prayers are with them and their beautiful city for a speedy recovery,” he said.

While taping REAL LIFE 101 in New Orleans, Thomas talked about his life as a young actor pursuing stardom in Hollywood, and how also he divides his time between work, acting lessons and a full school load.

Thomas’ REAL LIFE 101 show will be telecast on such stations as WLNY, New York; KJLA and KKLA, Los Angeles; WJYS, Chicago; WPSJ, Philadelphia; WBSK/WLWK, Boston; KFTY, San Francisco, KTXA, Dallas-Fort Worth; WJAL, Washington DC; WUPA, Atlanta; WKBD, Detroit; KSTU, Seattle; KSTC/KSTP, Minneapolis-St Paul; WLLP, Nashville; WMJF, Baltimore; WMAK, Knoxville; KIKU, Honolulu; KTUD, Las Vegas; KAUT, Oklahoma City; WNPA, Pittsburgh; KWHD, Denver; WJJA, Milwaukee and WUPL, New Orleans, among many others.    

REAL LIFE 101 has become a huge hit with teens and young adults across the nation. It is carried on more than 200 television stations across the USA. For the past four years these audiences have enjoyed Real Life 101 as an opportunity to see young people discuss their futures and career paths, and perhaps be guided with what to do with their lives.

REAL LIFE 101, hosted by such talented young persons as Shawn Royster, Danielle Smith, Joey Tattersall and Darcy Woods -- takes a look at a wide variety of different vocations on each of the 52 shows that are produced.

The series, which is produced by the Television Syndication Company in Florida and its in-house production company White Mountain Entertainment, recently added international broadcast outlets in Nigeria and Hong Kong and is currently establishing both publishing and licensed merchandise built around the series and it’s large American audience.

Recently, bi-lingual Thomas (he speaks fluent Polish) played Willie, an Irish immigrant in a Chicago production of Elmer Rice’s Street Scene. He has also appeared in the independent film Entropy, a drama. His other credits include the critically - acclaimed European television production, Autumn In Warsaw. Thomas has also done print modeling.

Thomas came to Hollywood from his native Chicago and is busying himself building a career as a young actor. He is studying acting with such well-known coaches as Helen Anzalone, Creative Director of The Academy Training Center in North Hollywood and Kris Kyer of The Kyer Workshop, Hollywood. Thomas’ entertainment career preparation includes studying drama & comedy, commercial technique, dialects, acting, singing and dancing.

Blonde, blue-eyed Thomas has some special advice for other youngsters coming to Hollywood to pursue an entertainer’s career. “Be ready for lots of hard work. …a lot to learn…be patient. and above all be persistent and not afraid of rejection.”

His favorite TV shows are the retro classics; Three’s Company, The Carol Burnett Show as well as The Andy Griffith Show. “ I think Don Knotts is awesome,” said Thomas.

Like many other young performers, Thomas spends his school days in both a structured classroom and also in a “home school” program, which lets him go our on casting calls in a few hours notice. “I think attending school like this actually helps me learn more and learn better, ” he said. He lives in Burbank, CA near NBC Studios with his family, his dog Sonia, and the family cat Kitty.
