Canada's "IT" girl Carla Collins and TV Producer Frank Sicoli team up for an outrageous new comedy series.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 18, 2006 -- Carla Collins, Canada's "IT" girl and award-winning comedian, teams up with producer Frank Sicoli for a hilarious one-of-a-kind, unscripted sitcom titled "The Visionary Position". This TV series is being described as Curb Your Enthusiasm meets Sex and the City meets Bewitched. Collins says, "I prefer to think of it as The Ghost Whisperer on crack."
According to Sicoli, "Carla is a tremendous natural talent. She's one of the few comedians who make me laugh out loud. It's a pleasure working with her." Collins explains, "It's a relief to finally be able to express my multiple personality disorder in a positive way."
Carla and Frank have been in talks with several US networks and are looking to finalize a deal at this year's NATPE to have the series available for audiences for the fall of 2006.
In the series, Carla Collins, once Hollywood's most sought-after psychic, has her world turned upside down following a series of misguided predictions and the shocking death of her gay, A-list action star husband. Penniless and powerless, Carla tries to rebuild her life with a little help from her imaginary friends.
“The Visionary Position is truly a team effort”, says Sicoli. "We throw around ideas until it works. To keep the narrative fresh and spontaneous, we will be shooting without a script; the cast will be given scene outlines and asked to improvise lines as they go. The result will be an unpredictable format that's unlike anything else on TV”. Carla quips, "I predict that "The VP" will be the hottest show this fall. I also predict that 10,000 monkeys will fall from the sky, and that my fear of supermodels will deepen. I was bitten by one as a child."
