The InternetInc.com Website Competition Gives Aspiring Webmasters a Chance to Show their Skill, Trump the Competition and Win Cash Prizes

LatPro.com and InternetInc.com are announcing the kick-off of a new competition for webmasters and programmers. Loosely based on NBC-TV’s “The Apprentice,” the InternetInc.com Website Competition requires contestants to complete a real-world programming project for an online community site.

FT. LAUDERDALE, Florida (PRWEB) January 30, 2006 -- LatPro.com and InternetInc.com are announcing the kick-off of a new competition for Webmasters and programmers. Loosely based on NBC-TV’s “The Apprentice,” the InternetInc.com Website Competition requires contestants to complete a real-world programming project for an online community site.

Competitors from South Florida and around the world will be tasked with creating an expert community Web site for the domain InternetInc.com using the open-source Drupal CMS (Content Management System). Winning entries will demonstrate the most resourceful and inventive approaches to programming the site, maximizing the capabilities of the Drupal system while maintaining a clear focus on usability and streamlined design.

Conceived by LatPro.com President Eric Shannon, the contest is sponsored by the Hispanic/bilingual job board LatPro and the new blog site InternetInc.com.

“Through this process, we want to find innovative programmers and webmasters who are excited about the possibilities that open-source CMS has to offer,” says Mr. Shannon. He continues, “This competition is about finding the next generation of programmers who will be an integral part of developing and growing the Drupal system.”

While this contest is sponsored by the Hispanic/bilingual job board LatPro.com, individuals of any race or ethnicity are encouraged to participate. Winners will be judged solely on the quality of their submissions based on the results of a judging panel from the sponsoring organizations and online public voting.

The competition is open to professionals and students over 18 years of age, and contestants may enter individually or as a team.

Deadline to Enter: March 15, 2006
Winners Announced: April 30, 2006.

The Prizes:

First Place: $500 USD
Second Place: $300 USD

In addition to receiving a cash prize, the winners will be featured on the InternetInc.com Web site.

More details, rules and entry information can be found at www.internetinc.com
