Authentication capabilities to be integrated into Thornberry’s web based NDoc® information management system for home healthcare providers
Lancaster, PA (PRWEB) October 12, 2006 -- Thornberry Ltd. today announced a strategic partnership agreement with Passfaces Corporation under which Thornberry Ltd. will integrate Passfaces patented authentication product into its existing information management software to enable healthcare clients to further strengthen HIPAA privacy and security requirements by augmenting existing passwords. The terms of this agreement allow Passfaces to be built into the Thornberry NDoc® information management system to better protect sensitive patient information on desktops and laptops via local networks and the web.
Thornberry will unveil the NDoc –Passfaces integration October 15-18 during the 25th Annual Meeting of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice in Baltimore, Maryland. Thornberry will be displaying Passfaces and attendees will have the opportunity to demo the unique patented authentication in Booth #1022 at NAHC.

The NDoc® suite of integrated products for the home healthcare and hospice industry provides the healthcare industry with management software to help agencies prepare for pay-for-performance (P4P) and the introduction of universal electronic medical records and regional health information organizations (RHIOs). Thornberry introduced its clients to Passfaces in August, as an alternative or supplement to traditional passwords. With positive client feedback the company decided to embed Passfaces within NDoc. By early 2007 Thornberry clients will have the option to use Passfaces login authentication in addition to existing passwords. “I believe the result will be truly superior protection for all NDoc databases with fewer logistical issues and at a lower cost than current password solutions,” said Peth.
