CityBloc.com, one of the largest online sources for demographic and statistical information on US cities, announces its choices for best airports in the United States.

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) October 3, 2006 -- CityBloc.com, one of the largest online sources for demographic and statistical information on US cities, announces its choices for best airports in the United States. After exhaustive research, the website has selected its 10 best airports in North America. CityBloc.com’s criteria included ease of access, business travel facilities, ease of movement, location, transportation links, food and entertainment facilities and, finally, the intangible wow factor that comes from design and ambience.

“If you are going to get stuck in an airport for a couple of hours, and with the increased security since 9/11 those wait times have grown significantly, then these are the airports that make those waits enjoyable,” says Kevin Fields Editor of CityBloc.com about the Top Ten list. “We looked at a number of criteria and mixed those factors that make the process of getting to your plane easier, as well as providing the traveler with a pleasant and relatively stress free environment.”

This year’s winner is the San Francisco International, which was judged by CityBloc.com’s writers to be the Best Airport in the United States. Its combination of great shopping and restaurants with excellent transportation links put the airport at the top of the list. The new billion dollar terminal was also judged to have one of the best environments for both business and tourist travelers.

“We also made the conscious decision to seek out some of the country’s smaller airports, ones that have gone out of their way to create great alternatives to the larger hubs,” said Fields. “Airports such as Hartford and Cincinnati are smaller departure points but offer up a lot of amenities and advantages.”

Rounding out the Top ten airports are Denver, Minneapolis/St Paul, Milwaukee, Fort Myers, Charlotte, Dallas and Canada’s Vancouver.
