Infidelity expert discusses Jeanine Pirro and reasons why wives stay with cheating husbands. Free tip sheet on what to consider when deciding whether to leave a cheating spouse or give him a second chance.
(PRWEB) October 3, 2006 -- Attorney general candidate Jeanine Pirro is under federal investigation for asking former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik to illegally bug the family boat to determine if her husband was having another extramarital affair. The situation has raised numerous questions about why women stay with men who cheat.
People are genuinely puzzled about why Jeanine Pirro would stay married to a cheating husband who fathered an illegitimate child during their marriage, and reportedly has a history of extramarital affairs.
Why Women Stay
Infidelity expert Ruth Houston, founder of www.InfidelityAdvice.com, and author of Is He Cheating on You? – 829 Telltale Signs discusses some of the reasons wives stay with husbands who cheat.
Says Houston, “Some of the reasons why a wife would choose to stay with a cheating husband - include love, convenience, financial reasons, low self-esteem, desire to keep the family intact, reluctance to give up a particular lifestyle, fear of being alone, fear of change, loyalty, religious reasons and more. These are just a few that readily come to mind. But list there are many reasons, as well – reasons that may make sense only to the woman involved.”
Possible Reasons Pirro Stays
“Jeanine Pirro is an attractive, successful woman whose reasons for staying with her husband are unlikely to be things like low self-esteem, fear of being alone, or even the hope that he’ll eventually change, given his history of infidelity.” says Houston,
A recent New York Times article mentioned that Pirro’s husband and his business associates are major contributors to Jeanine’s Pirro’s political campaigns. “ If that’s true," says Houston, "Pirro’s decision to stay with her husband may also be linked to the achievement with her political goals.”
“In Jeanine Pirro’s case, other possible reasons could include timing or convenience,” says Ruth Houston. “Divorces can be very messy and extremely time consuming/ It’s certainly not the type of activity one would want be involved in while in the midst of a political campaign. Or perhaps Pirro feels that the image of a wife and mother is more advantageous to the achievement of her political goals than the image of a divorced wife. Numerous reasons could come into play. Whether or not to stay with a cheating husband is a very difficult decision to make and many factors are involved. We may never truly know all the reasons behind Jeanine Pirro’s choice.”
Jeanine Pirro’s publicly stated reasons for staying in her marriage are that her husband is a great father, she loves her children, and that her teenage son needs his father with him. She says she has made difficult choices to keep her family together.
No Explanations Needed
Pirro feels that she shouldn’t have to keep explaining her marital choices, and infidelity expert Ruth Houston agrees.
Houston says, “She’s absolutely right. No woman, including, Jeanine Pirro should have to explain or defend her decision to anyone (other than her children) as to why she has chosen to leave or to stay with a cheating husband. It’s a very personal matter – a very carefully thought-out decision, in which many factors have usually been taken into consideration. The bottom line is that no one can possibly know the real reasons Jeanine Pirro stays with her cheating husband, but Jeanine Pirro, herself.”
