KENNESAW, GA (PRWEB) October 17, 2006 −- The 2006 personal watercraft selling season ended September 30 with sales higher than the previous season, and according to the latest sales and registration data, the Yamaha VX Deluxe finished the year as the best-selling model in the industry. In fact, the VX Deluxe achieved higher sales in 2006 than any other individual personal watercraft model in nearly a decade.

This success reflects Yamaha’s strategy to grow interest in personal watercraft riding by providing consumers a wider selection of 4-stroke, 3 person personal watercraft starting at $7399.

“Our success with the VX™ Series proves that our strategies to grow the PWC category are working. By delivering high-quality, fun-to-ride models at an affordable price, we are introducing the greatest number of new PWC owners to the Yamaha brand,” says Yamaha National Marketing Manager Bryan Seti. “We strongly believe our industry-leading quality, performance and value will make these new owners, Yamaha customers for life.”

For 2007, Yamaha will offer four models in its VX Series, including the all new VX Cruiser™ ($8,299) and the entry-level VX™ ($7,399).
