Our Congress, simply stated, is not built as the US Constitution dictates. Bryan W. Brickner, the author of Article the first of the Bill of Rights (2006), discusses the constitutional right to representation and why the US Congress, by constitutional law, should have 100 US Senators (two per state) and 10,000 US Representatives. The words in Article 1 of the US Constitution are clear: “The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand.” Three hundred million divided by 30,000 equals 10,000 US Representatives.
So where is everyone?
The answer is We the People have forgotten a constitutional right, the right to representation. That right is written into our Constitution in Article 1 and ratified by all 50 states. Simply stated, the right to constitutional representation is the right of groups to be included in We the People at the ratio of one Representative for every 30,000 people.
So where are the constitutional Representatives of We the People?
