Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2006 -- L.A. Goal presents "Inside Out 2006" an exhibition and sale of over 150 original paintings, woodblocks, hand-painted objects, textiles and ceramics, created by the 50 artists with developmental disabilities. L.A.GOAL is a non-profit agency for adults with developmental disabilities, such as autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy.

Inside Out 2006 is happening at the Jan Baum Art Gallery, 170 South La Brea, Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, October 29 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Adults with developmental disabilities have been essentially invisible to the community, often segregated, isolated, excluded or dismissed. Through the universal language of art, L.A. GOAL, seeks to breakdown the barriers that separate them from society. L.A. GOAL Arts Director, Margaret Goodenough, explains, “The name ‘Inside Out’ was chosen primarily because the process of creating art provides an opportunity to express to both one’s self and the outside world – all which is unique and authentic inside a person.”

All purchases from Inside Out 2006 directly support L.A. GOAL’s art programs and the artists’ employment, and are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
