New England’s First Innovation and Design Week

Suffolk University is hosting New England's first ever Innovation and Design Week, full of events and new program announcements in conjunction with their Centennial Celebration. Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School recently announced a new Executive MBA degree concentration in "Innovation and Design Management." There will be a breakfast workshop, "Innovation and Speed-to-market in Design Driven Industries" at the Suffolk University Law School on Thursday November 9th. The following evening, Friday November 10th, CICL Board Member, business entrepreneur and inventor Dr. Sushil Bhatia is convening The 1st Annual 5K New Product Innovation Competition Awards ceremony.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 24, 2006 -- Suffolk University is hosting New England's first ever Innovation and Design Week full of events and new program announcements in conjunction with their Centennial Celebration. Located in the heart of Boston, Suffolk University is a "center of excellence" for innovation and design management education for the region.

Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School recently announced a new Executive MBA degree concentration in "Innovation and Design Management." This 18 month Saturday-only program provides the perfect bridge between design and business. Its multi-disciplinary approach gives participants the skills needed to effectively manage design and innovation at both the strategic and product level. This is the newest of the more than fifty Masters Degree programs from Suffolk, which established New England's first Executive MBA Program in 1975. Innovation and Speed-to-market in Design Driven Industries
There will be a breakfast workshop, "Innovation and Speed-to-market in Design Driven Industries" at the Suffolk University Law School on Thursday November 9th. Moderated by The Center for Innovation and Change Leadership (CICL) Board Member, Pat Hunt, the six member panel is made up of leaders from innovative companies which range from Sun Microsystems to the Zorian Bat Company who makes major league baseball bats. Panel member presentations will be followed by a Q&A period where audience members can ask for additional details on innovation successes from real world experiences of the panel. Co-sponsored by the Merrimack Valley Venture Forum and CICL, this is sure to be a lively entrepreneurial discussion on what it takes to survive and thrive in today's economic climate where change and innovation is the lifeblood of successful businesses. The following evening, Friday November 10th, CICL Board Member, business entrepreneur and inventor Dr. Sushil Bhatia is convening The 1st Annual 5K New Product Innovation Competition Awards ceremony. The American Management Association has declared this century to be "the Century of Creativity and Innovation." The keynote speaker is the legendary Art Fry, inventor of 3M's Post It Pads. Cash prizes will be awarded for the development of innovative new products and intellectual capital. The event opens up the opportunity for the participants to take their new products ideas and turn them into commercial reality.
