Laurie Larson's new release "Aquila" is receiving brisk airplay on over 500 radio stations world wide. The single "My Time Will Arrive" continues to climb the charts.

Phoenix, AZ (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWeb) October 28, 2006 -- Highly-regarded artist Laurie Larson recently released a second album, delighting fans with powerful songwriting, vocals and music.

Entitled "Aquila," the alternative-rock album is garnering broad attention worldwide. "Aquila" is receiving radio play in major U.S. cities as well as Canada, England and Australia. PBS FM of Melbourne, Australia plans to feature the album on its most popular breakfast show "TMA Wednesday" with John Carver.

This track captures the spirit of the 60's while still sounding contemporary. The vocals are dreamy and the songwriting is solid. The acoustic arrangement with just guitar, percussion, and bass is beautifully recorded and played. A terrific album to 'feed your head.'
My Time Will Arrive has been described "This track captures the spirit of the 60's while still sounding contemporary. The vocals are dreamy and the songwriting is solid. The acoustic arrangement with just guitar, percussion, and bass is beautifully recorded and played. A terrific album to 'feed your head.' "

Currently all ten songs on "Aquila" are receiving strong airplay. My Time Will Arrive has ranked as high as #1 on Last FM, and in the CD has reached the top 10 of The CMJ Network.

Larson's "Aquila" has received strong support and praise from professionals within the music industry. For example:

  • Jim Seemiller, president of ATB Broadcast Consultants Inc. said the lyrics are "timeless" and the album is a "must-play" on any rock station. "I have been involved with classic rock radio stations for nearly 20 years, and the music, although great, is not changing," he said. "Recently, I listened to a new release 'Aquila' by Laurie Larson and was blown away -- classic rock but it is new stuff. Like Neil Young said, 'Rock and roll is here to stay,' and Laurie proves it with every cut from her album."

  • I have listened to "Aquila" more than any other CD I've recorded in the last 20 years," said Jim Brady, who did the mastering, production and engineering for the album. Brady has served as recording engineer for Neil Young, Linda Ronstadt, Kenny Rogers, Cracker, the Crow Soundtrack and the Young Riders television show.

  • Richie Furay, who founded Buffalo Springfield and Poco and helped order the tracks on "Aquila" said: "To me there was no question as I listened that 'Child of the Wind' should be the closer. Other favorites include 'Center of Light' and 'Soul Purpose.' Good job, good musicians."
