Seattle, WA (PRWEB) October 19, 2006 -- As a direct result of their recent successful launch, Divvycast (www.Divvycast.com ) today announces the addition of a free level for bands and musicians. The Internet’s first podcasting portal dedicated to connecting musicians and labels with local, national, and international advertisers is now expanding its ability to appeal to new artists who are just starting to podcast. With this move, Divvycast, which allows musicians to create and upload podcasts in order to gain fans and advertising sponsorship, is indicating the seriousness of its intent to reach every serious musician and band.

This new free level joins Divvycast’s existing 3 subscription tiers. Monthly subscriptions on the first payment tier include a free copy of the award-winning ePodcast Creator Lite (PC) or ePodcast Express (Mac) plus storage and bandwidth. Yearly subscriptions include a free copy of ePodcast Creator or ePodcast Producer. As a bands’ popularity increases, they can meet their new hosting and bandwidth needs by upgrading their plan accordingly.

We're delighted that the success of Divvycast is allowing us to bring our service to more people at a better price. As a former professional musician I know what this can mean to people in bands trying to generate money for their art.
Divvycast also continues to further its efforts to market actively each band and musician. Easily uploadable buttons or banners which are linked to their podcasts can be posted on various social-networking sites like MySpace and TagWorld. Direct links to various podcast aggregators such as iTunes and Yahoo! Podcasts are provided, where Divvycast members can submit their podcast RSS feeds.

In response to Divvycast’s increasing range of options and services, CEO Tom Jeffries says, “We're delighted that the success of Divvycast is allowing us to bring our service to more people at a better price. As a former professional musician I know what this can mean to people in bands trying to generate money for their art.” The addition of this free subscription level is designed to increase these opportunities for revenue.

Divvycast continues its plans for growth by teaming up with partners to provide mobile podcasting and video streaming in the near future. Regardless of whether or not a band is signed or unsigned or whether it’s widely known or just finding its own sound in someone’s garage, Divvycast continues to demonstrate why it’s “a natural fit” for musicians and advertisers alike.
