TimeSpring and Infortrend Certify Continuous Data Protection Software for RAID Storage

Certified interoperability between TimeData CDP software and EonStor RAID storage systems offer complete, affordable data protection to Microsoft Windows users.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA and SANTA CLARA, CA (PRWEB) November 1, 2006 -- TimeSpring® Software Corp. and Infortrend® have certified interoperability between TimeSpring's Continuous Data Protection (CDP) software and Infortrend's networked RAID storage subsystems. The combination of these products gives enterprise managers a robust and affordable way to protect data across their entire Microsoft Windows infrastructure, including Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, and NTFS.

"The need to recover data quickly and reliably is causing organizations to rethink their data protection strategies," said Tony Chu, president of Infortrend. "Greater capacities and lower costs make our EonStor RAID systems an economical choice for secondary data storage, and by adding TimeData software, our customers get true CDP to ensure that their data is always protected and available for rapid recovery from disk."

TimeSpring's TimeData continuous data protection software is file-based and application-aware. It captures all changes to Windows application data as they occur and understands important application consistency events, such as checkpoints and transactions. All data changes are immediately transferred for protection to direct-attached or networked storage, such as Infortrend's EonStor family of RAID subsystems. Designed for demanding, mission-critical environments, EonStor arrays deliver high capacity, high performance storage for all storage interfaces including SCSI, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SATA, and SAS.

Once installed, TimeData automatically and continuously protects data on the Infortrend EonStor subsystems without scheduling, backup windows, or slowing down production on Exchange, database, or file servers. Users can easily recover complete or partial data sets from any desired points in time. This makes it possible to rapidly recover from data loss, corruption or disaster, or to leverage data for activities such as testing, business intelligence, or reporting.

"We believe our customers will dramatically improve their data protection and decrease their operating costs by combining TimeData CDP software with innovative, cost-effective storage such as Infortrend's EonStor RAID arrays," said Janae Lee, CEO with TimeSpring. "Infortrend has a proven record of functionality, value, and dependability through its many OEM relationships, as well as through its channel partners."
