Available source has specific knowledge about elections and electronic voter check-in process.
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) November 3, 2006 -- Winn Maddrey, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Initiatives for Decision Support, is a specialist in elections management, voter identification and can provide significant information on voter check-in. He is available to serve as a presenter, spokesperson and source to media and other outlets. Maddrey's knowledge comes from his background in public affairs combined with his current role working with an electronic poll book product - EViD. He can discuss EViD's approach to managing and streamlining elections management, especially the check-in process. EViD is currently deployed in many counties in Florida and has been tested in a number of other counties in the U.S.
Decision Support Inc., a Matthews, NC-based company with more than 22 years experience in the data integration business, has designed EViD to manage voter check-ins, reduce wait times and eliminate voter fraud. The e-poll book provides security and certainty for elections officials and voters alike. It is important to note that neither EViD nor Decision Support work for or with, or are aligned with any electronic voting systems companies. Decision Support strongly believes that the check-in process and the voting process should be completely separate and that standalone processes serve as a check and balance to safeguard elections.
Maddrey's expertise in elections comes from the several different political positions held throughout his career. From 1991-1997 Maddrey served in several communications positions. He worked as a speechwriter and legislative correspondent for a Member of Congress, Elizabeth J. Patterson (SC-4th District). He also held a policy adviser position at the US Department of Commerce in international trade and on domestic issues. There, he advised on policy and political issues, wrote speeches and was part of an international trade negotiations team. In 1997, he founded Crescent PR, which was sold in 2002, and in 2003 founded Blue Nine Partners Inc., both strategic public relations and communications firms.
During his career, Maddrey has served as an adviser, volunteer and consultant in a number of races and has been involved in Presidential primaries, US Senate, US House, gubernatorial city, county and school board races, especially in North Carolina and South Carolina. In addition, he has worked on issue campaigns in the Southeast in GA, NC and SC. And he has worked with local, regional and national groups on public policy formulation and advised on strategic and tactical issues. As an electronic poll book and voter check-in process consultant, Maddrey can advise on many elections management issues.
