Los Angeles, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWeb) November 6, 2006 -- Digital Media Wire, the industry's leading digital entertainment news, events and information provider, and New York-Tokyo, producer of the premier monthly game event GNG (Gamer's Nite Groove), today announced that they have teamed up to produce Gamers Tournament, a gaming competition to be held at Digital Media Wire's LA Games Conference on November 7 and 8. The event partners are sending out a call for all levels of gamers, from casual to hardcore to novice, to come join leading game and entertainment industry execs and professionals gamers in a celebration of the sport and impact of gaming.
The Main Tournament features the flashy, frenetic fights of Dead or Alive 4. The winner of the DoA4 tournament will be rolling in style as he or she takes home $500 cash (presented by Digital Media Wire) and receives an exclusive invite to the LA Games Conference's closing reception at the Los Angeles home of the Consulate General of Finland. There he or she will dine, mingle, and schmoose with Leaders and Top execs in the gaming industry. A mini tournament of the street racer Project Gotham Racing 3 is going down as well. The winner of the mini tournament receives a selection of 3 games from Microsoft Game Studios.
The event features many special guests. Don't miss the opportunity to ogle the artfully cool play of Manny "Master" Rodriguez, USA DoA4 champion, representing Team 3D. Auravision/Fatal1ty Professional Gamer Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel and Ubisoft/Frag Dolls Professional Gamer Morgan "Rhoulette" Romine are speakers at the LA Games Conference and could just make appearances at the tournament as well!
Attendees will have the opportunity to feel the vibe and pulse of the game industry as the spacious Pacific Design Center will not only host the Gamers Tournament, but serve as the site for the 2006 LA Games Conference, which features Senior Game Execs from Sony, Microsoft, Vivendi Games, EA, William Morris Agency, Fatal1ty, Disney, Paramount, MTV, GameSpot, New York-Tokyo, Major League Gaming and many more. The opportunity to join in the happenings at LA Games Conference will be offered to tournament attendees at a discounted rate.
