SVGA cable assemblies are most commonly used to connect monitors to computer video cards. They use a fifteen-pin high density (HD15) D-subminiature connector. The Plenum rating on the jacket gives the cables flame retarding characteristics, necessary to meet fire codes in many building installations, such as schools and other public buildings.
