Progressive health care providers across the country are quickly learning the benefits of laser therapy, which provides favorable clinical outcomes for a variety of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. However, many are finding that low-level lasers are not as effective and early Class IV lasers were bulky and very expensive. The K-Laser Class IV Therapeutic Laser introduces the latest in Class IV laser technology and delivers a portable unit at a very reasonable price.

Brooklyn, IA (PRWeb) November 30, 2006 -- Harrington Chiropractic, PC and Laser Therapy Center of Brooklyn, Iowa becomes the first health care provider in the state to offer the advanced-technology K-Laser Class IV Therapeutic Laser. This incredible laser technology is already helping numerous other care providers and professional sports teams throughout the US.

I've seen results using this laser that otherwise wouldn't have been possible
Dr. Phil Harrington is pleased to be the first health care provider of any type in the state of Iowa to offer Class IV Therapeutic Laser Therapy to his patients. "We can help many more people than we could before. The K-Laser Class IV Therapeutic Laser is absolutely the best thing to ever happen to our office. It is very exciting to help people get the results they want, and with no side effects," said Dr. Harrington.

Harrington went on to say that the K-Laser represents a breakthrough in laser technology. It's innovative design synchronizes high power dual wavelength infrared lasers into a single beam. The high power and combined wavelengths expand the therapeutic value of the laser. Doctors and patients alike will see the following: reduced rehabilitation times from sport and other acute injuries; significant reduction in chronic pain; increased range of motion; reduced muscle spasms.

According to Dr. Jerome True, "I have many patients with chronic problems demonstrate improvement following treatment with the K-Laser. This device has helped expand my practice and treatment options for patients."

And Dr. Jim Murphy has noted, "I've seen results using this laser that otherwise wouldn't have been possible" as he described cases of plantar fascitis, frozen shoulder and other neuromusculoskeletal ailments that responded very well to the K-Laser.

Dr. Harrington has witnessed dramatic improvement in cases of chronic post-surgical back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, neck and back pain, and knee pain among other conditions. In addition, Harrington noted that earlier Class IV lasers were very large and expensive. He should know -- he was also the first in the state of Iowa with one of those lasers. "But the K-Laser fits into a small suitcase-sized case, it is handheld, and it is much more affordable," he noted.

To this point, most therapeutic lasers were classified as Class III by the FDA, since their power output was under 500 milliwatts. The K-Laser Class IV Therapeutic Laser delivers up to 6 watts of power in twin 790 and 970 nanometer infrared laser beams, producing penetration of photons several inches deep in the body. And it is less than half the price of early Class IV lasers.

Laser therapy works by stimulating production of cellular energy in damaged cells and by enhancing the cell membrane permeability. This promotes the speed and the quality of healing, enhances the exchange of nutrients and wastes across the cell membrane and improves elasticity of injured tissues.

Chiropractors, professional sports trainers, osteopaths and podiatrists are among the health care providers currently offering the K-Laser to their patients. Patients and doctors seeking further information on the K-Laser are encouraged to visit his website at www.iowalaserdoctor.com.
