Capricorns Come in Last According to New Firstmed Consulting Studies

There are many known disadvantages to celebrating a birthday around the Christmas season -- joint birthday/Christmas presents, people unavailable on the big night due to office parties etc. Less known is that according to recent studies, those born around Christmas may have a higher probability of erectile difficulties.

(PRWeb) December 28, 2006 -- It seems that feeling upstaged by the biggest holiday of the year may have more of an effect on the male ego than we previously realized. Studies conducted by Firstmed Consulting, a UK online ED clinic which focused on the star-signs of their customers, reveal that Capricorns are by far the highest suffers of the medical condition.

Often described as one of the most stable and serious of the zodiacal types, Capricorns are said to be patient and prudent, ambitious and disciplined, over conventional and rigid. These independent, rock-like characters may have many sterling qualities but the ability to maintain an erection may not be one of them. Whether you believe in astrology or not, characteristics attributed to Capricorns such as being pessimistic and fatalistic, may well give us insight into the psychological causes of ED. Many men react to an occasional episode of erectile dysfunction by becoming more anxious, which results in further sexual problems, hence more anxiety. This is called the "impotence domino effect" of anxiety - failure - more anxiety - more failure.

At the other end of the scale, living up to their reputation as a fire sign, it was the Sagittarians who emerged victorious. Sagittarians are said to posses a strongly idealistic nature, capable of suffering many disappointments without being affected. Perhaps it is this optimistic nature that allows them to avoid the anxiety that consumes other men following an occasional episode of ED

See below to see how the rest fared.
