Podshow Radio Features Up and Coming Bands When Radio Often Shuts the Door

Podcasting has become a way to help bands and artists make it to the top of the record industry. With the introduction this week of Podshow Radio (www.podshowradio.com), bands can be featured on a podcast and listeners can be introduced to some of the best new artists in the world.

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) February 8, 2006 -- Getting radio airplay for a band has always proven difficult if not almost impossible, that is until now. With the popularity of podcasting growing everyday, bands have turned to this fresh new media to help take them to the top.

Some folks feel that bands that don't have a record deal or do not get radio airplay are lacking that special something. Well that could not be further from the truth. These bands are very talented and well produced and can give almost any band on the radio a run for their money. Every genre out there from rap, ska, metal, pop, county and many more can be found in podcasting.

Podsafe music is showing off some of the best new and already well-established artists on the planet. This last week, Podshow Radio kicked off its broadcast with an underground hip-hop artist by the name of Jadox. Also known as the black spider, Jadox has become one of the top artists and can thank podcasting for helping him make to the top.

Rebecca Loebe has also been featured on Podshow Radio. Rebecca is a folk/rock/pop songwriter and artist that is keeping busy performing at colleges, coffeehouses and clubs in New England and is another up and coming artist.

Podshow Radio will feature some of the best music artists every week. Podsafe music has become very popular among podcasters because there are no fees required from the RIAA to play the songs. Bands love it because they have a potential of thousands of listeners in a very short period of time and listeners love it because of the potential they have of finding a new band to latch on to.

Podshow Radio also has a segment that includes daily motivation to help its listeners and subscribers. Podshow Radio can be found at www.podshowradio.com. Subscribing to most podcasts is free and easy and seems to be a great way to catch all the shows.

When someone subscribes to a podcast, it will be waiting the day it is put out. They can then burn it to a CD, listen to it on the computer or send to a favorite media player to take to the gym. That means listening at convenient times. The only drawback to podcasts are that one needs a broadband connection such as DSL or cable to get the full benefit, which most of the population now has access to. Dial up will work but will take some time to download the show.

Will podcasting be the downfall of commercial radio? Only time will tell.

February 2006 is Podcast Month at PRWeb. This press release distributed by PRWeb, the Online Visibility Company.
