Jeff Yost 'Never-Bean': Music to Watch in 2006

A most unlikely character to become a rock star in 2006 is independent musician, fifty-three year old Jeff Yost.

Fremont, OH (PRWEB) February, 9, 2006 -- A most unlikely character to become a rock star in 2006 is independent musician, fifty-three year old Jeff Yost. Could Jeff be the big story this year?

Music has many 'buzz words' and this years buzz words could be Jeff Yost and his upcoming release "Never-Bean."

If it was 1967 "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and The Beatles would have been on the tips of the industry's tongue, but it's 2006 and the least likely candidate for any kind of industry buzz would be Jeff Yost, yet there are tongues a wagging.

Yost has been composing and performing since the mid-sixties. He is a no name from nowhere, having always flown under the radar of the music press. He has released a few songs on several small labels, but has never released more than one thousand copies of anything.

He even played over 1500 different venues in a 180 day period back in late 1992 and early 1993. From New York to Los Angles he would play up to nine venues a day with his guitar and his compositions. Not bad considering he is a keyboardist.

A campaign has been launched by K-S-V Recordings to sell a million copies of Jeff Yost's first, full length CD, "Never-Bean" before November 18th, 2006. That will be Mr. Yost's 54th birthday. Quite an undertaking by a small independent label pushing an unknown artist.

An 'off the cuff' recording that Yost made at home titled: Yost Rap, subtitled: 'Spacedust', has college students stirring. It can't be found on the internet, but Yost has received so many requests for the rare recording that he will add it to the new CD as a hidden track. He may even place it somewhere on the world wide web for kicks.

"My son played it at a few parties for his college friends" Yost said, "Now they all want a copy, and so do their friends. It's really not a part of the cd, but I thought I'd throw it in for them."

"I've got to do my best work on this project," yost said, "It may be my last."

Yost came up with the name for the CD when someone said he must be a has been from years gone by. Yost replied "No sir, I am a Never-Bean." A friend once told the musician that he was ageing as gracefully as Keith Richards.

Yost has declined any offers from record labels to sign for this release. " I hope the home grown release sells a million copies and gets a million bucks for 'Adopt-A-Minefield' and 'Music Lives', two charities Yost has chosen to receive one dollar each per sale of the CD.

"Never-Bean" was released for pre-sale on January 25th.
