Washington, D.C. (HRMarketer/PRWeb) February 11, 2006 -- The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and Valtera, a leading provider of organizational surveys, testing, and assessment solutions announced today that Valtera will sponsor HCI's Employee Surveys and Organizational Effectiveness learning and research track. The track is one of several topics addressed in HCI's Talent Strategy community of interest, a community HCI considers critical to organizations working to build competitive advantage.

"Many organizations today are conducting employee surveys. Although targeted measurement strategies can be highly effective, all survey processes are not alike," said Allan Schweyer, HCI's Executive Director. "We're pleased that Valtera, a leader in science-based measurement solutions, is supporting this track aimed at helping employers better understand the survey process so they can develop and utilize tools that will have the most impact on their organizations."

Employee surveys are often focused on improving employee engagement, in terms of the number of engaged employees as well as the level of engagement. The reason is clear: Studies show that employee engagement drives critical organizational outcomes, such as innovation and customer satisfaction--and these in turn lead to increased profitability and competitive advantage.

The Employee Surveys and Organizational Effectiveness track will examine employee engagement surveys, service climate surveys and 360 feedback surveys in order to explore the ways targeted measurement strategies can raise the effectiveness of individuals, teams, and the entire organization. The Thought Leader panel will examine new methods and trends, and best practices in employee surveys and organizational effectiveness. Webcasts, white papers, education, and other resources are aimed at providing human capital professionals with information they need to effectively manage today's workforce.

Panel members include Dr. Allan Church, VP of Organizational Management Development at Pepsico; Dr. Alan Colquitt, Manager of Workforce Research at Eli Lilly; Dr. Karen Paul, Manager, HR Measurement Systems at 3M; Dr. Benjamin Schneider - Senior Research Fellow at Valtera; and Dr. Ann Marie Ryan, Professor of Psychology at Michigan State University

"Employers that measure employee engagement and then use the results to drive organizational change have a significant advantage over their competitors," said William H. Macey, Ph.D., CEO of Valtera. "We're pleased to support the Human Capital Institute's efforts in this area."
