Fast-growing untraditional branding agency has begun strategic work with Pasta Pomodoro, the popular San Francisco-based Italian restaurant chain.

BERKELEY, CA (PRWEB) February 15, 2006 –- Untraditional branding agency Forty Forty said it has begun strategic work with Pasta Pomodoro, the San Francisco-based Italian restaurant group known for its unique, innovative and contemporary Italian cuisine. Forty Forty (www.4040exp.com)is working with Pomodoro by combining cultural tongue-in-cheek visuals and words to elaborate on Founder Adriano Paganini’s vision, humor, and contemporary Italian lifestyle.

Their work together will include enhancing the original minimalist interior design and working with Paganini to develop personal storylines with depth and dimension. This will be communicated through menus, points of sale and visual artwork in all 46 restaurants within California and Arizona.

We collaborated with Pomodoro to identify the core qualities of its brand, which we’ll now use as the starting point for a compelling new direction
Paganini said the new approach would be more personal.

“Our decision to work with Forty Forty sprang from our desire to increase brand awareness,” he explained. “We want to build upon our existing philosophy, with humor and my heritage serving as the focal points.”

“We collaborated with Pomodoro to identify the core qualities of its brand, which we’ll now use as the starting point for a compelling new direction,” said John Trotter, Forty Forty’s co-founder and creative partner. “Our work with Pomodoro will help us identify a differentiator that’s powerful because it’s based on the unique personal style of the person already at the center of the brand.”

Forty Forty has demonstrated that innovative design and untraditional branding applications can bring results quickly in the very competitive food and restaurant industry. In addition to Pomodoro, Forty Forty has worked with a variety of other restaurant brands. Most recently they helped launch San Francisco-based fast-casual restaurant Sellers Markets and rebrand Marin-based Italian eatery Piatti Locali.
