Cutting Edge Photography Studio in Indy - First of its Kind

Indianapolis is now home to one of the first nationally, and the first local studio to combine Digital photography with digital art. The final work resembles a painted fine art piece. Customers commononly ask to touch the work to feel if there is indeed paint.

(PRWEB) February 20, 2006 -- V.Van Tiem Gallery Portraits lavish photography studio is nestled in the retail district of the Village of West Clay (Carmel, IN) resembles an art gallery with huge window box displays and 30x40 portraits adorning the walls. The studio itself is uniquely different with built in custom sets including a Paris cafe, enchanted forested with real water pond and waterfall, curbside street scene and dock with fishing shack. Custom painted muslin backgrounds are also available, as well as unique props and costumes to create story-telling portraits.

Digital painting is cutting edge in the world of photography and just starting to show up in the professional trade magazines such as Professional Photographer. To build a studio only producing this new fused art form is extremely cutting edge. "I've had to make some adjustments to my window displays, showing a more familiar style to bring people in. The common misconception is I am actually painting portraits while they sit in the studio or from a photograph. Once they understand what they’re looking at, and that the studio is truly a photography studio in every sense, I have a customer for life." Victoria explains.

The customer is treated like royalty from beginning to end. Private sessions run as long as 3 hours, finger foods and refreshments are served in the executive lounge during your session, as well as DVD games and movies for little ones while Mom and Dad are having their portrait done.

The experience and final work is so different, it is creating quite a buzz in Carmel and surrounding Indianapolis. Janet Pontollillo, of Carmel, brought her Granddaughter in for an afternoon tea play date. Both wore studio costumes with beautiful hats and set up a tea party in our Garden scene. "I have never been so impressed!" raved Mrs. Pontollillo. The final portrait was a gift for her son. "What a wonderful gift a memory makes, I truely believe my granddaughter will traesure our special afternoon and these portraits when she is older."

V.Van Tiem Gallery Portraits has raised the bar in artistic photography, and the traditional studio experience. Victoria, V.Van Tiem Gallery Portraits owner and artist explains, "The family portrait experience has always been one the Mom schedules, dad is obligated and the kids just want it over. After rushing around to get everyone dressed and at the location, they usually have to wait only adding to frustration. Mom is usually stressed trying to keep the little ones in line and Dad is stressed because of Mom. Its no wonder the final work is less than they had hoped." Victoria explains, "I wanted to give such a wonderful experience that truly caters to the family, no time limits, lots of breaks, and don't even worry what your wearing. Just show up and lets play and really capture something wonderful." If the experience itself makes them smile, the final work has brought tears to many. "It is just unbelievable!" says Stacy Bentley, one of V.Van Tiem's regular clients.

Press kits and personal interviews revealing more detailed information about the studio are available upon request by calling the studio during normal business hours at 317-574-9800. Please visit our website gallery for more samples at www.gallery-portraits.com
