Job Search Secrets Revealed

Despite the creation of new jobs in our changing economy, job seekers are still finding job search difficult. According to a survey conducted by Robert Half International and Careerbuilder.com, 49% of job seekers are finding the job market difficult (MSN Report, 2005). The main reason for this is lack of job skills. Employers on the other hand, are finding it hard to recruit qualified job applicant. This presents a disparity between skilled and unskilled workers in the job market.

Weaverville, NC (PRWEB) February 23, 2006 -- Job search expert Annmarie Edwards, author of 50 Proven Strategies to Maximize Your Job Search has made job search easy by providing job seekers with tips they can use in finding their dream job. She highlights tips such as:

1. Conduct a self-assessment before you begin your job search. This will help job seekers define the kind of job they find fulfilling.

2. Develop a personal mission statement. A mission statement should address your core values and beliefs. It also reflects what is important to you to achieve your career goals.

3. Create a five-year plan. This kind of plan provides a road map for all the things you want to achieve, and it helps you to maintain your focus on your career.

4. Define long and short-term goals. These targets are important for forming a plan of action. Include personal and professional goals on your list.

Ask Edwards:
1. What job seekers can do to maximize their job search?

2. Why some job seekers take a long time to find a job?

3. What networking organization can help job seekers find a job quickly?

4. What job seekers can do to make their job search worthwhile?
