At annual meeting, BNI Founder Ivan Misner says BNI’s steady advancement into more diverse corners of the globe that is the true sign of its strength.

Upland, CA (PRWEB) February 28, 2006 -- Founder Ivan Misner is certainly proud of his company’s growth in sheer numbers, and deservedly so. Because that company, BNI (Business Network International), which was already the world’s largest networking organization, grew even bigger in 2005, adding to its already tremendous number of members and chapters. But as Misner pointed out at BNI’s big annual meeting recently, it is his company’s steady advancement into more diverse corners of the globe that is the true sign of its strength.

In his address to members and directors at BNI’s annual Director’s Conference, Misner pointed to some impressive statistics. One of which was the number of worldwide chapters, which at that moment was 4175 – more than any other referral networking company in the world. But it was one of the night’s smaller numbers that Misner pointed to with the most excitement.

What gets me excited is every time we move into a new country, or add chapters within a new member country.
“Having over 4100 chapters is unbelievable to me,” says Misner, who says he can clearly recall the very first BNI chapter formed two decades ago. “What gets me excited is every time we move into a new country, or add chapters within a new member country.”

In that case, Misner has a lot to be excited about. In numbers he presented to the crowd of over 500 members from around the world, Misner announced that BNI now has active chapters in 26 countries, and that this year, chapters outside of the BNI core four countries of the US, UK, Australia and Canada represented a bigger portion of the company – by one percent.    That’s a one-percent that Misner sees as very important.

“Those new expanding markets in our new member countries will surely display the most growth in the next ten years,” says Misner, “that’s where the future of BNI lies.”

BNI (www.bni.com) is a referral networking organization, with over 4,000 groups in more than two-dozen countries worldwide. BNI's Founder & Chairman, Dr. Ivan Misner is the author of several book's including the NY Times best-seller, Masters of Networking, (www.MastersofNetworking.com) and the recently released #1 best-seller, Masters of Success (www.MastersofSuccess.biz). He is also the Founder & Spokesman for the Referral Institute (www.referralinstitute.com) a referral training company with operations around the world.
