Popular online Western entertainment network streams Art Greenhaw and The Light Crust Doughboys with Larry "T-Byrd" Gordon, Nokie Edwards and The Jordanaires to worldwide audience.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) February 27, 2006 -- Gold Buckle Network™ (GBN™) (www.goldbucklenetwork.com) continues to satisfy online music fans by streaming video and audio performances of GRAMMY®-nominated artists to a worldwide audience. GBN is now offering new selections from 2005 GRAMMY nominees Art Greenhaw, Larry "T-Byrd" Gordon, The Light Crust Doughboys, Nokie Edwards and The Jordanaires, who combine their favorite country with their favorite gospel music. GBN fans can also register to win a guitar autographed by Art Greenhaw and Larry "T-Byrd" Gordon, a signed collectible GRAMMY poster, or one of 10 autographed Art Greenhaw compact discs. Offer details are available at www.goldbucklenetwork.com.

Art Greenhaw and The Light Crust Doughboys' album "Southern Country Meets Soul" marks their eighth GRAMMY nomination in the past nine years. Nominated in the Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album category, "Southern Country Meets Soul" is an acclaimed addition to the Greenhaw’s label and marks the continued creative collaboration with his mentors The Jordanaires and The Ventures lead guitarist Nokie Edwards. Gordon, Edwards, and The Jordanaires also received GRAMMY nominations for their artistic contributions to the album, which was produced by Greenhaw Records.

Larry "T-Byrd" Gordon is well-known for his versatile vocal style, which is influenced by many genres of music. Like Greenhaw, Gordon is a prolific songwriter, arranger, lyricist, composer, recording artist, producer, and engineer. Although Gordon's main instrument is the saxophone, he is a multi-instrumentalist who possesses Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in Music Education.

The Doughboys are the longest-running country band in the world as well as the Official Texas Music Ambassadors, a designation awarded to them by 74th Texas State Legislature. Each band member has been inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, and The Doughboys received Western Swing Heroes status by The Cowtown Society of Western Music and Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

In December 2005, Quitman Heritage Foundation established the Light Crust Doughboys Hall of Fame and Museum in Quitman, Texas. The Museum collection includes a large number of photographs, documents, memorabilia and instruments that tell the amazing story of the Light Crust Doughboys, their impact on the evolution of Western Swing and the evolution of the entertainment industry over the group’s 76-year history.

The Light Crust Doughboys' 2002 Grammy Winner for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Album, "They Call Him Mr. Gospel: A Tribute To James Blackwood" is also available for listening and purchase on GBN. Along with the music, GBN offers a series of free videos, including "Texas Swing," "Country Swing Meets Black Gospel," and "Art Greenhaw’s International Guitar Celebration," on which Nokie Edwards cuts loose on some sizzling Country Swing. Also included are videos showing The Doughboys backing up Edwards on notable performances of "Wipeout" and the theme song to the television series "Hawaii 5-0."

GBN Radio and the GBN General Store also offer music from Classic Country legends Dolly Parton, George Jones and Rita Coolidge as well as contemporary artists Joey Daniels, The Roadhammers, and Hanna McEwen. These artists cover a wide range of music styles and genres, and on GBN Radio listeners can try before they buy. New artists and music are added regularly to GBN Radio and the GBN General Store at www.goldbucklenetwork.com.

The Web-based GBN video player supports full-screen viewing, enabling viewers to maximize a crisp image beyond the size of typical streaming videos. Western enthusiasts wishing to view GBN Premium content along with hundreds of hours of other Western video and audio entertainment can sign up at www.goldbucklenetwork.com. The process is fast and simple, the GBN service requires no special hardware or software, and nothing is downloaded to the viewer's PC.
