Asheville, NC (PRWEB) February 27, 2006 -- Are you overwhelmed with the cares and burdens of this life? Robert Lodwick's brand new CD of inspirational songs, "Come to Me", may touch the spirit and encourage your heart with God's love. Go to Robert's site now, www.robertlodwick.com, listen to free excerpts from all 10 selections, and book him for a live concert.

Singing God's praises has always been Robert's favorite way to worship, and he has performed for God's glory in a number of different settings. While studying at Christ for the Nations Bible School in Dallas, Robert toured with the Sounds of Joy music group. He also became the leader of an African American gospel choir while serving as the youth pastor and worship leader at End Time Christian Center in Denver.

Robert is currently pursuing a Pastoral Counseling degree at Gardner Webb University Divinity School, but he says he has been preparing to be a minister his whole life, beginning with his birth in 1966 to a father who was a pastor. Robert became a Christian at the age of 15 and was inspired to develop his musical ministry by listening to Christian musicians who were so clearly committed to the ministry of music.

Two of the songs on this new CD are Robert's original lyrics and both were born from his own experiences. "Come To Me" was an expression of how he got beyond regretting some of the choices he had made. His letting go of regret came after realizing that God was not holding those choices against him and wanted him to refocus on the future.

Robert wrote "You Meet Me in Mercy" after serving as a counselor at a men's shelter. He worked with 10 men who had problems with substance abuse and who repeatedly cycled through repentance and then abusing again. The lesson he learned, and from which the lyrics sprang, was not to get frustrated with these men because he realized that God repeatedly forgave them – every single time. He showed Robert how to meet them in mercy and help support their recovery.

Robert says that although he did not really plan any theme for the CD selection, as the project evolved he realized that one was emerging. All of these contemporary Christian songs seem to merge under the idea of God's forgiveness, redemption, restoration, and His gift of hope for a better tomorrow.
